HBO’s Luck Suspends Filming with Horses

HBO’s Luck has suspended filming with horses after a third horse was injured and euthanized Tuesday at Santa Anita Park during production of the hit drama.

“The horse was on her way back to the stall when she reared, flipped over backwards, and struck her head on the ground,” Dr. Gary Beck, a California Horse Racing Board veterinarian, said in a statement. The horse was later euthanized.

The first two horse deaths occurred in 2010 and 2011 during filming of the first season.

PETA’s Bob Barker Building Opens Thursday

It’s only fitting that the man who told us for years to spray and neuter our pets will have a PETA building named after him.

Former The Price is Right host Bob Barker donated $2.5 million to renovate a building for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals in 2010.

Fast-forward two years later and PETA’s West Coast headquarters is ready for business.

The Bob Barker Building officially opens Thursday and the 88-year-old will be on hand for the grand opening of the new home to PETA’s media, marketing, youth outreach and campaign departments.

According to the Associated Press, the new building features, “a new art deco façade, a rebuilt public sidewalk and eco-friendly cork floors, and will have rooftop solar panels.”

Or is it a tribute to plushophila?

Michael Vick– Nobody’s Best Friend

sex and the city4 copy.jpg

The Sex and the City movie’s finally a go, and is supposed to “take up where the series left off”, with Sam getting a hip replacement.

But the project has taken so long to get going that there’s speculation that the original cast might not be reunited. So, FBLA suggests:

Miranda will be played by Anne Meara,
Carrie Bradshaw will be Cloris Leachman.
Charlotte is now Dixie Carter, and
Kim Catrell remains as Samantha.
