Source Interlink Media (SIM) — publisher of over 75 publications, including Motor Trend, Automobile, Hot Rod, Surfer, and Transworld — has named Scott Dickey its new chief executive officer. Dickey comes to SIM from Competitor Group, a lifestyle media and live event company. Dickey served as CEO of Competitor Group for the past six years.

“Scott is a seasoned and broad-based executive with significant experience in the traditional and digital media industries, live events, brand licensing and consumer products,” said SIM’s chairman, Ted Lodge, in a statement. “He is ideally qualified to lead the company and drive innovation in these critical next stages of its growth and expansion.”

Dickey is succeeding Michael Sullivan, who is shifting his focus to his role as CEO for Source Distribution.
