As February began, so did Black History Month. On Tuesday, McDonald’s Tri-State Area Restaurants held their annual Black Media Legends luncheon at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel.

This year’s class includes WCBS/Channel 2 sports anchor Otis Livingston (far right), WNBC/Channel 4 meteorologist Janice Huff, WABC/Channel 7 anchor Sade Baderinwa, and veteran NY1 anchor Lewis Dodley.

As Black Media Legends, the inductees were awarded a trophy. They are also part of the Faces of Black History poster, given free at the more than 600 area McDonald’s throughout February.

Scott Pierce is on the move at New York City-based American Lawyer Media (ALM).  According to a minOnline report, Pierce has been promoted from president of digital product development to VP/group publisher for ALM’s magazine division.  In his new role Pierce will work with titles including American Lawyer, Corporate Counsel, and Law Technology News.

Prior to joining ALM, Pierce managed his own consulting firm and was SVP of Nielsen’s Travel Network.  He also worked with Advanstar, Reed Elsevier, and Hearst.  Pierce will work under ALM’s SVP Kevin Vermulen.
