Onion News Anchor Wraps Up Second Season

It was a gamble when E! And Extra reporter Suzanne Sena departed LA for a gig with Fox News, and it was a gamble again when she abandonned that steady paycheck in 2008 to return to the west coast.

The Onion News Network Set to Make Its Debut on IFC

The latest addition to the fake news world makes its television debut tomorrow night. The Onion News Network, starring former Fox News broadcaster Suzanne Sena, premieres on IFC at 10PM this Friday. Looks pretty funny–and in a good time slot too. No direct competition with the Daily Show or Colbert.

The show had a nice writeup in the LA Times last week.

Former Fox News Anchor Joins The Onion News Network

Our sister blog TVNewser reports today that former Fox News anchor Suzanne Sena is now working for satrical newspaper The Onion‘s fake online news network ONN. We wonder how difficult the transition from covering real news for FNC to covering fake news was for Sena.

In the clip above, Sena, who worked for FNC from 2006 to 2008, portrays ONN anchor Ana Gentry, who reports on a malfunction of President Obama’s “home TelePromTer.”
