Carson Daly Adds Weekend Countdown

Much like Ryan Seacrest, Carson Daly seems to have an unlimited capacity for radio and TV work.

Starting this weekend, alongside The Voice, Daly’s weekday morning KAMP-FM radio in Los Angeles and Last Call NBC sit-down duties, he will be hosting a new nationally syndicated radio program. The Daly Download with Carson Daly – This Week’s Top 30 can be heard locally Sunday at 7 a.m. on WNOW 92.3 FM. From the recent CBS Radio/Cumulus announcement:

Two versions of the program will be created by Daly and offered to stations for broadcast on Saturday or Sunday. The four-hour and three-hour shows will complement programming on Contemporary Hit Radio or Hot Adult Contemporary formatted stations, respectively.

Dancing Edges Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting as Most Watched Prime Time Show

Holiday regalia is full steam ahead! Office parties are the norm. And another seasonal mainstay is NBC’s tradition of the Christmas tree lightning at home base–Rockefeller Plaza.

The holiday favorite brought throngs in the Christmas spirit to Midtown, and millions to their seats. The show tied for second, according to Nielsen, with an estimated 1.4 million viewers tuned in to WNBC, and a 7.2 rating.

The final 15 minutes of CBS’ NFL coverage also nailed down number two for the week.

But standing atop all others was ABC’s Dancing With The Stars. The celebrity competition had the top spot with last week’s result show (1.4 million/7.4).  Performance night “settled” for fifth place (1.2 million/6.2).

CBS’ 60 Minutes found a home at number four (1.2 million/6.3).
