Artist/filmmaker Melinda Hunt adds to the Theresa Duncan/Jeremy Blake saga and challenges Frank Morales’ version.

Anjelica Huston to play Benazir Bhutto in biopic?

When Manuel Mollinedo ran the LA Zoo, animals managed to escape a number of times. Maybe he’s a PETA mole? Or just an incompetent bureaucrat?

Bonnie Fuller picks scandalicious celebs, but her readers like Lana Turner and Liz Taylor better. Maybe Britney can get one of the kids to stab someone.

Sean Penn is available, which means so is Robin, which means fans of The Princess Bride can rekindle their hopes.

Tony Bourdain is Eater of the Year, followed by the cleverly-named Joel Chestnut. Padme Lakshmi, a chesty nut, is third.

Jodie Foster wins the IMDB least screwed-up former child star poll.

AFI needs to stop with the lame-ass lists already.

Newsweek On Theresa Duncan/Jeremy Blake

tdjbs3.jpg

Newsweek’s Tony Dokoupil has more on the Theresa Duncan/Jeremy Blake story.

He doesn’t pull any punches either:

their storybook devotion to each other slowly warped into a shared madness–what is known as a folie a deux

Doukoupil did get Cary Woods to go on the record about a new project for Duncan:

The night before she killed herself, they met with “Scream” producer Cary Woods to outline a noir film–a dream project for some, but it was perhaps too much for Duncan. Her friends speculate that she chose to end her life rather than risk losing another film to forces outside her control.

Will Duncanologists take the weekend off? Not likely as the print edition has an exclusive photo of Beck and Jeremy on the beach around July 2004, taken by Theresa. Notice the timing.

Scientologist Leader Says Theresa Duncan Had Bizarre Delusions

2007_08_arts_rjc.JPG

Gothamist, for some reason known only to the “Ist” chain of blogs, has a Q & A with John Carmichael of the Church of Scientology.

The hapless poster, Jen Carlson, is getting grief from the readers. She slips in the expected Theresa Duncan/Jeremy Blake question, and gets a really revealing answer:

It’s especially tragic when creative people take their lives–their delusions were certainly bizarre.

Their delusions were bizarre? Thetans, Implants, Xenu and those blue uniforms aren’t a little on the, uh, fanciful side? All that aside, his organization does have its share of zealots.

NY Post Will Correct Theresa Duncan Story

The New York Post will be running a correction to their Theresa Duncan/Jeremy Blake story by Cathy Burke, after she gets done figuring out which quotes came from where. The LA Weekly got credit for quotes from the Washington Post, and so on and so forth.

FBLA wonder why Google doesn’t have a quotes feature? So much easier.
