Tina Brown Partners with Vice, Marshall Project for ‘American Justice Summit’

Tina Brown Live Media, the event company run by Tina Brown, has announced a new event — The American Justice Summit.  Vice and The Marshall Project are partnering with Brown on the event, which will “explore the personal, social, and financial inequities of a prison system.”

Speakers include Police Commissioner Bill Bratton, Orange is The New Black author Piper Kerman, Harry Belafonte, New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu, Ford Foundation president Darren Walker, and CNN and The New Yorker legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin.

“Criminal justice reform is a burning national issue,” said Brown, in a statement. “The mission of this Summit is to shine a light on an accelerating crisis and showcase the people who offer creative new solutions.”

The event is free and will be held November 10, at John Jay College of Criminal Justice on 59th Street.
