Valerie Latona Out As Shape‘s Editor In Chief

Valerie Latona, who found herself in the midst of a reader backlash at Shape for placing country singer LeAnn Rimes on the magazine’s cover after her extra-marital affair with (also, at the time, married) actor Eddie Cibrian, is out as the title’s editor in chief.

The New York Post reports that Tara Kraft, formerly Star magazine’s beauty and fashion director, will take over as EIC this Friday and will lead the magazine as it shifts its focus to more lifestyle coverage.
