In a new deposition, Anderson said he lied as part of a “scam” concocted by two other convicts as well as Smalls’ family and their attorney, Perry R. Sanders Jr. In another weird twist, Sanders says Anderson is lying about the scam to “please” LAT reporter, Chuck Philips.
