The Daily Show to Yahoo

Daily Show War Correspondent Rob Riggle is about to Yahoo. After Viacom’s $1 billion lawsuit against Google’s video-sharing site YouTube, episodes of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart were limited — theoretically, at least — to The Motherload, the Comedy Central’s broadband video channel.

The pendulum swings. From Broadcasting and Cable:

”All this week, Yahoo will feature on its home page exclusive video from The Daily Show’s ‘Operation Silent Thunder’ — reports filed from Iraq by correspondent (and Marine Corps Reserve Major) Rob Riggle.

”The Operation Silent Thunder video clips are also available on Motherload, but Yahoo will have an exclusive video interview with Riggle that will be posted to the site later in the week.”

Earlier this month Google filed papers in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York seeking to depose 30 people, including Jon Stewart.
