The Darwin Award For Public Relations Goes To….

Christopher X. Brodeur, the mayoral candidate/crackpot who was just found guilty on 21 counts of harassment. Perhaps best known for his painfully unfunny and uninsightful musings in the New York Press (at least until the last regime) Brodeur was arrested last month for calling Mayor Bloomberg’s press office up to 150 times each day. And before that, he was arrested for harassing and threatening New York Observer writer Ben Smith, the details of which involved guns and baseball bats. But yesterday, he was only convicted of harassing his landlord, which was enough to have him remanded immediately into custody. But drop by Gothamist for the 17,340 words he harassed his supporters with in the days before his conviction.
