The New York Times Joins Pinterest

It has been a long time coming, but The New York Times has finally joined Pinterest. As with most of the social media site, the Times’ boards aren’t anything that will blow you away intellectually.

One board titled “Color Riot” features brightly colored things, like a borderline neon green leaf. Another, called “Cheesy” is chock full of pins on cheesy treats. That’s a common theme for the Times’ Pinterest, as seven of its 15 boards have to do with food.

Alexis Mainland, one of the social media editors at the Times, told WWD that editors will one day be pinning items to the site, so┬ámaybe the content will get a little more interesting down the road.┬áBut for now, enjoy boards titled “Hair,” which have… Well, you can probably figure that one out.
