The Selling of the President, Dead Tree Edition

nytosell.png

Hey it worked the last time! Remember back on November 5 when Barack Obama saved the newspaper industry for a day, selling out dead tree editions across the land? And then the New York Times decided to start offering commemorative prints of the front page at $15 a pop? Well looks like they’ve managed to stretch the idea to an ad campaign of its own. Seems that the Times wants you to subscribe to the paper based on the idea that every day of the next eight years will be as historic as November 4 — and really based on the news of the last two months they may not be that far off (and who wants to bet now that whoever’s in charge of the front page of the January 21 edition will be sure that it looks good in a frame?). Second half of the deal after the jump.
