The Sopranos Ending: The Poll Response

fishbowlny_sopranos12.jpg

We asked (and asked and asked), and you responded:

  • WORST FINALE EVER

  • This is artless exploitation. WE expect better from HBO.
  • The ending SUCKED and I felt robbed, but I won’t cancel HBO.
  • Already done. I canceled HBO about 2 years ago when I learned how long the wait would be for Season 8 to begin.
  • I vote “yes” because HBO save for The Sopranos is a vast wasteland of junk programming and lousy movies.
  • The Sopranos is only one show. HBO consistently comes up with quality shows that may not appeal to everyone, but HBO gives them a chance. HBO is more than The Sopranos.
  • Cancel HBO? No way. Their leadership in the creative community has pushed Showtime to do Weeds, Tudors and Dexter. Yes, I was disappointed, but don’t you think that, as usual, there was a reason for the choice of music? (Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing,” ending with “DON’T STOP”) I would just like to know when HBO plans to air the alternate endings (at last count, 4.)
  • It was a brilliant ending!! Tony is at risk, as he always has been — and we, who didn’t feel a thing as everyone else on the set was bumped off in last weeks, still utterly complicit in our need to see him survive.
