New CJR Web Editor Aims to Make Site A Destination You 'Probably-Should- Read-Occasionally'
Peters, who founded and continues to edit Polite, writes for CJR and Slate among others, and is a contributing writer at the Onion News Network. He says his goal is to "make cjr.org a real must-read, or at least a probably-should-read-occasionally." An admirable goal indeed. His very funny email is after the jump. Thought I'd let you know that I was just hired on as the new managing web editor for CJR. The position that had been empty for about 18 months... for some reason, they ultimately decided to hire me, probably because I'm extremely tall. I used to work at the Washington Monthly, I write often for Slate, I founded and edit a quarterly print magazine called Polite, and I'm a contributing writer at the Onion News Network. I hope to draw from my experience at all of those places and make cjr.org a real must-read, or at least a probably-should-read-occasionally. Baby steps, right? Email This Post |
