Time has struck a deal to partner with Twitter for the magazine’s annual “Person of The Year” award. The ultimate winner is always picked by Time’s editors, so it doesn’t really matter what you think, but if you want to vote anyway, you can. All you have to do is tweet using the hashtag #TimePOY or tweet Time with your thoughts on the matter.
We should note that the person who accumulates the most reader votes is awarded the “Reader’s Choice” Person of The Year, so it’s not completely worthless.
The real winner, the person who gets their mug on a Time cover, will be announced by Nancy Gibbs, Time’s managing editor, Wednesday, December 11 on the Today show.
