Time‘s Model Placement
We just cracked open Time‘s latest Style & Design, John Huey and co.’s supplemental quarterly take on 21st century consumerism. The first third of its 78 pages are devoted to your mag-a-log style service; the rest serves as a neo-guide to retail’s past, present and future, with a decidedly-present fashion spread. Mediabistro’s rock-star freelancer Greg Lindsay contributes yet another air-travel-related piece — exactly how many more air spinoffs does he have in him? Prolific is the word that comes to mind.
Most interesting, though, is cover model Daria Werbowy. She appears in the magazine 12 times, including the cover, a “Cover 1″ Chanel ad, and opposite the masthead in an ad for Lancome — coincidentally, the subject of an essay introducing Werbowy’s solo spread.
That’s roughly one Werbowy shot every 6.5 pages — a Bonds-like pace.
At least it’s not another “ladylike” Hilton makeover.
