TV Folks Catch and Pitch

logo_large.gifSean Perry, head of Alternative Television at Endeavor is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at the National Association of Television Program Executives annual TV Produers’ Boot Camp on Thursday in West Hollywood.

Among the other promised highlights are the derision-inspiringly named “Pitch Pit Catchers” from companies including Atlas Worldwide, Distraction Formats, Echelon Entertainment, Fox Reality, Hallmark Channel, Hearst Entertainment, Rebel Entertainment Partners and Tsunami Productions, among others. These “catchers” will help “pitchers” hone their skills in face-to-face meetings. Is anyone else giggling immaturely or are we being sent to the principal’s office alone?

Another highlight of the NATPE conference is Wednesday’s planned discussion about user-generated content, social networks, personal videos, and TV Shows, with panelists including executives from Revver, Myspace, Youtube and PeopleJam. With networks and studios so terrified of user-generated content, we doubt anyone will be giggling after that one.
