NBC's Conference Call PranksterIt looks like NBC needs to keep a more aggressive eye on who has access to their conference call passcodes. From Page Six: NBC and producers of Today got a little more than they bargained for when they set up a media conference call with TV writers and Today anchors Matt Lauer, Ann Curry and Al Roker to publicize the new segment, "The Ends of the Earth." According to our spies, one filthy-mouthed prankster got on the recent conference call - in which writers could quiz Lauer, Roker and Curry about their upcoming trips to Greenland, Antarctica and the Equator - and interrupted the proceedings to ask Curry, "Did you get your last name because your [bleep] smells like Mediterranean food?" One source said, "[the prankster] was immediately dropped from the call. But somehow, he got back on the call using another name." The lewd interloper then asked Lauer, "Can you [bleep] your own [bleep]?" Note that Roker was the only member of the anchor trio who the prankster didn't make fun of. That was most likely for the very simple reason that, hell, Al Roker is awesome. Email This Post |
