Here is an update on last week's item the insecticide-spraying and employee complaint at Fox News. Before you read on, some mood music, if you are so inclined.

As reported by our intrepid cousinn at TVNewser: apparently the brass at FNC has been keeping mum on the issue of employee exposure to diazinon, a neurotoxin class insecticide banned by the EPA for indoor use.

A TVNewser tipster writes:

"Management is attempting to keep this quiet by compartmentalizing the issue and keeping people in the dark. We are attempting to shed light on the situation for several reasons, one of which is that diazinon -- which disrupts the nervous and endocrine systems -- is highly suspect in one of the female producers here having a child with Down's Syndrome."

Yowsers. That's one hell of an allegation (an unsubstantiated one at this point, we fairly and balancedly point out).

Fox News has not only not addressed the issue of the complaint, but has also not issued any information regarding the fact that diazinon had been sprayed at all. Ironically, the spraying does not seem to have achieved the desired effect of actually killing bugs. According to yet another TVNewser tipster (man, the tipsters love that guy!) roaches are alive and well in the newsroom. Yick.
