Vogue Won’t Seek A Replacement For Tom Florio
Vogue won’t be replacing outgoing svp / publisher Tom Florio, who is leaving Condé Nast to pursue a career in business.
Some in the industry anticipated that the now-vacant role of publisher would go to Carol Smith, who recently left Elle to oversee Condeé Nast’s Bon Appetit and the Gourmet brand as vp / publishing director. But, as it turns out, Condé isn’t giving it to anyone. Instead, all those who reported to Florio will, at month’s end, work under president and CEO Chuck Townsend.
