WABC/Channel 7 Unveils New Studio
Stealing a page from the network morning shows, WABC/Channel 7 debuted its new state of the art studio over the weekend at the corner of Columbus Avenue and West 66th Street. A WABC spokesman says all newscasts are now done from the new digs.
As you’ll see in the pictures provided by WABC after the jump, along with set upgrades, the street-level window is the stand-out feature.
Anchors sit at the traditional desk, but also walk a few steps to have the outside world as a backdrop.
The “weather center” also receives a sleek makeover.
Those familiar with the Upper West Side will remember that location as the former Disney store (Disney owns ABC). Thereafter, it was used as office space before getting the renovations.
