Starting with the June issues, Wired and GQ are now offering subscriptions via the Apple system for $1.99 per month or $19.99 per year.
Howard Mittman, Publisher and Vice President for Wired, applauded the move, explaining, “When the app launched last year it was the first to show how interactive and innovative the medium could be. Now, by offering our readers a subscription on iPad, Wired is poised to lead the digital publishing conversation and reach a wider audience.”
Wired and GQ were expected to get subscriptions ever since Conde Nast announced that the New Yorker would be the first title to add the service earlier this month.
Now fans of the magazines can mess with gadgets and gaze upon fantastic clothes without having to worry about downloading a new issue, which is always a good thing.
