LA Firm Helps YouTube Go a Little Bit More Country

Among the initial offerings on YouTube’s latest channel, Country Now, is something called OMC! The bi-weekly series features a four-person “Twang Gang” and covers the same general territory as E!’s Fashion Police.

The channel content is being created by West Hollywood headquartered GreenLight Media and Marketing LLC under the terms of a one-year initial deal. Company president Dominic Sandifer recently explained to The Tennessean how it all came about:

Sandifer said he pitched the idea for the channel because country music fans lacked a designated place to gather on the website. “They’re really underserved. There isn’t one channel where they are getting their country music,” Sandifer said. “We felt like that was really a huge, untapped opportunity here.”
