Yup, Viacom’s Still Evil

While ordinary, everyday permalancers at Viacom celebrate the return of their healthcare benefits, the corporate honchos have realized that the most genius move is the most simple move:

MTV Networks’ ‘informational session’ about the change in freelance terms is being held at the same time as the WGA strike (flyer shown above) that Viacom employees were encouraged to join.

It’s called divide and conquer, folks.

Meanwhile, Nikki Finke notes that Viacom’s Leslie Moonves has a hell of a new contract:

  • Base salary of $3.5 million
  • A target bonus of $10.5 million
  • An option covering 5 million Viacom shares
  • An annual grant of free shares worth $7.6 million
  • Generous severance agreements and some brilliant tax kung-fu that allows him to escape higher New York taxation rates.

But for Viacom high muckety-muck living, we’ve saved the best for last. Let’s just say we’re pretty partial to the pictorial comparison Media Wire Daily did of the (alleged) plastic surgery hijinks of Debbie Dauman, wife of Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman, over the years.
