Professional/Personal Overview
A journalist for 20+ years, I've covered everything from devastating tornadoes in Texas to California's Death Row. I've interviewed the famous -- California Gov. Jerry Brown, director Rob Reiner -- and the would-be famous, such as La Tigressa, the logging protester who for a while ran a one-woman "Striptease for the Trees." True story. These days I work as a freelancer, writing about education, travel and food and wine. My stories appear in major dailies like the Los Angeles Times as well as magazines and online publications. In addition to covering breaking news and generating news features, I am an experienced copy editor and also work on commercial projects, including case studies and white papers.
