This article was well-received by birders and regular folks alike who were amazed by the rare Northern Hawk Owl's decision to make Waterbury his winter vacation destination.
I enjoyed writing this piece and learning about World War II from the son's perspective who took it upon himself to get his father the recognition he so deserved, long after his death.
This was an article that caused quite a stir among residents as the popular reservoir's future recreation use hangs in the balance due to state and federal permitting issues. The article prompted an editorial response from the state's commissioner of the Department of Environmental Conservation.
Enterprise piece about the local historical society's exhibit dedicated to artwork produced by patients once housed in the state's mental health facility located in Waterbury prior to Tropical Storm Irene.
This article is still one of my favorites! It's the story of a kitten who endured a long journey, followed by more hardship only to come out on top. This story made national news after it was picked up by a variety of online media sources.
Interesting story about a female farmer trying to protect her family's farm from falling apart after nearby land was subdivided for future sale. But there's a twist - It's not your typical tale of evil developer versus farmer.

Editorial

I wrote this editorial piece after spending the day at an interesting equine clinic designed to teach self confidence and animal awareness.
