Other
What does an editor do? I organize thoughts into complete and compelling narratives. I work with diction to strike the exact right tone. I refine messages by asking the hard questions and suggesting possible answers.
Originally from Trinidad, I lived in Miami for seven years and LA for five before moving to San Francisco in 2012. Most recently, I have been working with leadership subject matter experts on business management books and articles. My clients include Berrett-Koehler Publishers, Jossey-Bass (an imprint of Wiley), and Pepperdine University.
In addition to editing, I design publishing processes and schedules, manage teams of editors and writers, and collaborate with diverse business functions to develop and market new products. I enjoy working with small companies because I can make myself useful in a number of different roles.
