  Joanne E. Gerber
Professional/Personal Overview
  I specialize in two very different areas: (i) luxury lifestyle/travel and (ii) fighting poverty in Asia.

One day it's exclusive hotels in the Caribbean, the next it's building wells in Kyrgyzstan. How do I square the two? Simple: I don't. I just do both.

And I have recently added a third area: copy editing for a website on high-tech entrepreneurship.

What do I do, exactly? Well, I am...

an EDITOR with experience in promotion, scholarly papers, book chapters, annual reports, and brochures;

a COPY EDITOR, of magazine and online articles, book chapters, etc.;

a FACT CHECKER/RESEARCHER, with plenty of experience, mainly in travel; and

a WRITER and TRANSLATOR, having done some writing and French-to-English translations. See my Web site for writing samples.
