Professional Experience

As a freelance writer with multimedia experience, I'm passionate about telling someone's story. My writing has been published online, in magazines and in newspapers. I've turned a simple blog post for one company into a four-page spread for print. I love humanitarian, cultural, and travel pieces. My writing style takes a simple story and makes it into something beautiful. I would love to do that for you. My other skills include photography, graphic design, editing, social media and videography. I'm a young freelancer with the technical skills to make a story work best whether online or in print. I recently graduated from one of the nation's best journalism schools at The University of Texas.

Showcase

General

I conducted interviews with city officials and organization leaders to create this investigative piece about rising water rates. I wrote this front-page article and worked with a graphic designer to create the graphics.
I worked as reporter, writer and photographer on this business profile for Community Impact Newspaper. The restaurant owners say it increased restaurant traffic immediately after publication.
I spent an afternoon walking through his ranch as he told me his story. This online article featuring a philanthropic UT Longhorn rancher became a huge hit with hundreds of social media shares.
This article was originally intended to only be a blog post. However, after great online feedback, The Alcalde decided to make it into a four-page spread in their bimonthly print issue. The family of the man featured in the article says it perfectly captured his spirit.
