Professional Experience

I am an award-winning journalist who has reported for three different legacy media organizations in television, radio, and online in Germany and Canada. I have recently relocated to San Francisco to pursue more freelance media opportunities. I have covered a wide variety of stories on the local, national and international level. Some of the more memorable ones include hitchhiking across Germany for a radio documentary about online ride sharing, or ‘Mitfahrgelegenheit’, reporting on television for one of Canada’s largest nightly newscasts on some of the worst riots in London, Ontario, and being interviewed by Access Hollywood in Los Angeles for my coverage of Bill Cosby’s first shows in Canada following the multiple allegations of sexual assault against him. If you are looking for creativity, versatility, efficiency and someone who is easy to work with, please contact me at matthew.d.kang@gmail.com.
