Publisher/Editor of Long Island Parent magazine and www.liparentonline.com through the company I created, Wordsmiths Media. I manage a freelance staff of writers, artists, sales people and all production, including working with printers and distributors. I also organize and run related events and work with other media partners, including radio and TV. My companion Web site is updated daily with news, videos, exclusive content, contests, blogs, columns, polls and resource guides, and I send out bi-weekly e-newsletters. In addition I freelance as a writer in the parenting, health and lifestyle categories. I am also a children's book author, and a motivational speaker/expert on getting your work published. And I teach college journalism classes as well. That's how I divide my time as an award-winning journalist, author and editor. Visit my Web site at www.lizaburby.com. |
