Professional Experience

I am an outgoing, creative, self-starting individual with superb communication and investigative skills. I have more than a decade of professional writing and editing experience, including several with outlets like the Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel and CitySearch.com, and I have an abundance of new media experience, working as part of the editorial staff for two prominent newspaper sites in Florida, TCPalm.com and OrlandoSentinel.com. In addition, I am fluent in countless software applications and computer languages, including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (for digital photography and graphic design), Quark and InDesign (newsletter and brochure layout) and HTML (website design, content management, XML production) and currently am the newsletter and website editor for the International FOP Association, a weekly web and print columnist with two Florida papers, and a public relations and marketing writer, among other things. I look forward to working with you.

This is a newsier piece offering an overview of a dinner party fundraiser held simultaneously by dozens of families across the globe. It was written for a nonprofit publication published six times a year -- I am the editor and designer of the publication as well.

This is a newsier piece recapping some significant advocacy efforts of the IFOPA, a nonprofit organization. I not only wrote the story but also designed the layout of the organization's Advocacy section of its website (and the layout of this page, which looks choppy as a PDF here, I'm afraid).
This is a travel feature/personality piece digging into some of the Orlando area's naturalistic attractions.
