Author. Editor. Journalist. I am an experienced Chicago-based journalist, editor and author available for writing and editing assignments. I pride myself on having a keen editor's eye and writing clear, accurate, and engaging prose. As a journalist for major English language newspapers and magazines including The Washington Post, Boston Globe, and Miami Herald, I have covered everything from elections, education, parenting and plane crashes to hurricanes, hackers, and neuroscience. I served as The Washington Post's New England correspondent in Boston for six years and was one of 10 international journalists selected for a Knight Science Journalism Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
