I am a freelance writer and editor specializing in education writing. I write regularly for Teachers College’s alumni magazine TC Today and Scholastic Administrator, which nominated two of my 2012 stories for Neal and Folio Awards. I have more than 25 years of experience as a reporter and writer with journalistic credits ranging from The New Yorker's Goings on About Town section to stringing for U.S. News & World Report. I have published personal essays in Newsday, Family Fun and Smithsonian as well as more than a dozen short stories. For more than fifteen years, I have also been a regular writer for inhouse publications at corporate clients including Bristol-Myers Squibb, Pfizer, American Express, Deloitte and Clairol. From 1997 until 2001, I was the editor and writer of Clairol's Beauty & Beyond Magazine. |
