Professional Experience

As a freelance writer and editor with more than 12 years of experience, I specialize in writing about travel (from jungle biking in St. Lucia to doing business in Copenhagen), interior designers (rising stars from New York to Paris), restaurants (hot spots from Shanghai to D.C.) and luxury goods (from $15,000 briefcases to $25,000 watches). I have written extensively about New York City, in particular its restaurants and hotels, for travel guidebooks, magazines and Web sites. As former editor in chief of two upscale consumer magazines, I've also produced interior design, cover, restaurant and luxury goods shoots, scouting products, locations and photographers. In the process I've established an international network of freelance writers, photographers and artists and have traveled extensively to report on both leisure and business destinations. I'm also strangely smitten with line editing and very good at it.
