Professional/Personal Overview
A recent graduate of New York University's graduate school of journalism, I have published several stories in national and local publications and am looking to expand freelancing into my career. I spent the five years prior to journalism school teaching English to middle and high schoolers in Brooklyn public schools, and most of my writing has focused on education. But I am also interested in writing about travel, health, and women's issues, as well as branching out to other areas. During my undergraduate years at The University of Pennsylvania, I studied creative writing and was a beat reporter for The Daily Pennsylvanian. I am a hard worker, a thorough researcher, and I approach all of my writing assignments with professionalism and with a curiosity to learn as much as I can.
