I have a PhD in English from UC Berkeley and extensive knowledge of current scholarship in the humanities. As an editor, writer, and instructor, I have worked extensively in higher education. On another note, I write a food blog, "The Roving Locavore" (www.therovinglocavore.com), which records experiences and recipes from places I've lived, including Vermont, Minneapolis, and Rome, Italy. I am conversant in a wide range of fields, from literary and scholarly to culinary and environmental. As my editorial, teaching, and graduate work demonstrates, I am highly organized and can work effectively on a variety of different tasks while promptly meeting deadlines. I am detail-oriented and focused and have experience working with all of the main style guides. My communication skills, both written and oral, are excellent.
