Other Work History
As senior producer at two fast-growing marketing design firms in NYC, I guided a challenging series of projects for client in industries including consumer goods, publishing, entertainment and technology among others - projects that always met and exceeded client expectations upon completion. I have also served as marketing and interactive consultant in a variety of industries including but not limited to telecom, consumer retail, sports and gaming and non-profit sectors.

My time in marketing departments at both scholarly and trade publishers has shown me how to reach the consumer market as well as how to craft targeted strategies to increase adoptions of academic titles in college market. These efforts include, but are not limited to, the design and execution of direct mail and advertising campaigns, creation of promotional materials, presentations at sales conferences, serial rights negotiation, book club sales and management of company presence at exhibits and conferences.
Computer Skills
I am thoroughly comfortable in both PC and Macintosh environments and have experience with an extensive array of software.

Having managed the development and maintenance of database-driven sites, content management systems, e-commerce initiatives, client-server environments, intranets, and extranets, I have the skills needed to manage web-based projects of all sizes and scopes. In addition, this past experience means that I bring a thorough knowledge of web applications and environments, internet industry best practices, and technology trends to any project team.

Moving from New York to the UK meant I had a whole new political scene to explore. Thankfully politicians are politicians no matter where and the UK players - Labour and Tory both - have produced just as much nonsense as their US counterparts. The news & politics posts at Greater Gotham (now Greater

After over 25 in New York, I headed off for the UK. My adventures in being bi-locational have expanded the reach of the Greater Gotham blog from New York to more transatlantic coverage. The London Underground, which I love, I knew inside and out - train service beyond London was a shock.
(Greater Gotham, 2/9/2011)
Greater Gotham started out as the virtual version of getting out and about in the city – and beyond, an arm chair guide to that process of discovery and being at the center of events but it sometimes gets pretty darned cold in NYC. Too cold to go out and about so the only thing to do is go into se
