Professional Experience

I've covered everything: Fashion from Milan to Iran; the deaths of Princess Diana and Pope John Paul II; Olympic controversies; neuroscience breakthroughs; trips to Mars and Saturn; showbiz; Presidential elections; too many wars and fiscal crises, and 9/11. As a writer, I can adapt style and tone to any situation and speaker, and am well-versed in every area of interest. As an editor, I can tighten or lengthen without losing the soul of the piece, and am a nitpicker's nitpicker. As a journalist, I can find esoteric info and ask good questions tactfully. I have been selected on several occasions to train other writers and editors -- occasionally, whole staffs. I have an academic background in fiction, poetry, literary criticism and music. There's no part of writing that I don't love. I learn new technology quickly, work under impossible deadlines and handle pressure well. I'm known as the go-to person when something needs to be done with excellence, now.
