Professional Experience
A self-professed foodie and "history nerd," I'm an Atlanta-based freelance writer with a knack for research and a love of learning. For more than 10 years, I worked in the museum field writing for exhibits and developing programs on topics ranging from dinosaurs to chocolate. While I continue to serve as a museum consultant, I am also seeking to grow as a journalist. I feel I am particularly well suited to write about topics such as museums, heritage tourism, food and folklore traditions, natural history and Southern history and culture. I also enjoy writing articles related to women's health, parenting and family travel.
I hold a Bachelor's in history and a Master of Heritage Preservation degree. A native Georgian, I enjoy covering travel and tourism in my home state as well as abroad. I have a passion for travel, eating good food, exploring local culture and uncovering connections to the past. I explore these topics and more on my personal blog, www.timeforgoodfood.com.
