A Light on Piazza

The Reuters article on how New Orleans writers are getting by is curious for what it doesn’t say about Tom Piazza. They mention the college reading tour organized for him by friends—which, in fact, brought him to the Columbia campus earlier this week—but not Why New Orleans Matters, which will be rushed into bookstores next month. Then again, the book came about so quickly that as of this morning, publisher HarperCollins hadn’t even squeezed it into the online database.
