I’ve always been terribly jealous of the freedom women enjoy to wear hats indoors, especially when they pull it off with as much panache as British fantasy writer Frances Hardinge (right). She’s come over to promote her debut novel, Fly By Night, set in an eighteenth-century world where books have been outlawed—and while she’s bouncing around the country with her editor, Michael Stearns of the HarperCollins children’s division, they’re blogging about the journey.
