Graphic novelist Alison Bechdel is up for two Lambda Literary Awards next week, as her illustrated memoir Fun Home is a finalist in both the lesbian memoir/biography and arts and culture categories. But however the voting turns out, she’ll be a winner in the eyes of the Lambda Literary Foundation for donating a unique tritpych based on original artwork from the book to raise funds for the awards, and also for a foundation-sponsored writer’s retreat. The piece will be given away during a raffle at the Lambda ceremonies on May 31, but would-be collectors can order tickets online ($20 for one, $50 for three) and need not be present to win.
