And even bigger changes at VNU
PW Daily reports that as part of an evaluation of VNU’s business portfolio, several changes are taking place on the literary group side. Jerome Kramer, managing director and editor-in-chief of VNU’s literary group (the parent company of Kirkus and The Book Standard) is leaving the company while two other Book Standard staffers – Patrick Eves and Kimberly Maul, according to a source close to VNU – were let go. While the Book Standard’s operation will now fall under the auspices of Tracy Davies, managing director of VNU Business Media’s literary group, it remains to be seen what will happen to the site as well as its offshoot blog, Book Trailer Park, which was edited by Maul.
