Another Losing Battle

From the BBC’s interview with Ken Crunk, editor of the US Army magazine Preventive Maintenance Monthly, currently under investigation by JK Rowling’s lawyers for copyright infringement:

“The drawings do not look like any of the characters from Harry Potter … We are very careful when we do these things not to copy images because that would be illegal.”

Personally, GC can’t decide which is saddest:

a) Our military’s ignorance concerning issues of legality.

b) Our military’s winning knack for losing battles.

c) Our military making helmets out of foil, following step-by-step instructions illustrated by magical school children.
