As writing jobs evaporate in New York City, it's getting harder and harder to make it as a writer in New York City.

Poet and novelist Nathaniel Bellows moved to the city from rural Maine, surviving the transition while writing a book of poetry and a novel. Last week GalleyCat caught up with Bellows, getting the scoop on his upcoming work and his advice for young writers during these tough economic times.
