BoingBoing posted late this afternoon about Lisa Carver's violent encounter with Satanists. It seems that she has some rather unpleasant things to say about Anton LaVey, the late author of occult touchstones like The Satanic Bible, in her new "post-punk memoir," Drugs Are Nice, including the mention of Chinatown-like rumors concerning the ancestry of his grandson, Stanton. So last night—according to claims on Carver's blog—Stanton's wife decided to get even after an event at a Los Angeles video store to promote the book. In the comments section, Szandora LaVey doesn't dispute that the fight took place, but says Carver's lying about Stanton taking part in the tussle...and insists that if Carver's going to file assault charges against anyone, it had better be her. As BoingBoing's Mark Frauenfelder says, "I have a feeling this story isn't over yet."
