Because hey, if Japan's jumping on the Saddam Hussein bandwagon, why can't we? Dripping sarcasm aside, the disgraced dictator's book - reportedly finished right before the Iraq war begain - will be published by the Tokyo-based Tokuma Shoten Publishing next Friday, said its senior editorial official, Koichi Chikaraishi to the Associated Press. Saddam's book, to be titled Akuma No Dance (Devil's Dance), evolves around a tribe living on the Euphrates River 1,500 years ago that succeeds in ousting an invading tribe through resistance. And - surprise! - the story "appears to be a metaphor for a Zionist-Christian plot against Arabs and Muslims." Oh, goody.
And my favorite line: " It wasn't known how the proceeds will be shared between publisher and author." Yeah, that could be a bit sticky, couldn't it...
