Amazon editors named Brian Francis Slattery's Liberation the best science fiction and fantasy book of the year--reinforcing the writer's work just weeks after Tor released a free digital copy of his first novel, Spaceman Blues.

On the coveted Amazon list, the editors lauded Slattery's new novel for "combin[ing] the serious and the satirical in creating an unforgettable image of a future America beset by the collapse of the dollar and the specter of a new form of slavery."
